MILGAUSS
THE OYSTERSTEEL STEEL
Rolex uses Oystersteel steel for its watch cases. Developed specifically by the brand, Oystersteel steel belongs to the family of 904L steels, alloys generally used in high technology, in the aerospace industry and in the chemical industry to guarantee maximum corrosion resistance. Extremely resistant, Oystersteel steel boasts a special shine when polished and retains all its beauty even in the most extreme conditions.

BLUE DIAL Z
The green sapphire crystal, introduced on the Milgauss in 2007, is a unique feature in the field of watchmaking. Today the green sapphire glass is also available in combination with an electric blue dial, which recalls the emblematic lightning-bolt second hand.
THE OYSTER BRACELET
The design, development and production of the Rolex bracelets and clasps, as well as the rigorous tests to which they are subjected, are made possible by the use of avant-garde instruments, while their impeccable beauty is guaranteed by the careful aesthetic controls carried out personally by the watchmakers Rolex on every component of the watch. The Oyster bracelet is the result of a perfect alchemy between form and function. Introduced at the end of the 1930s, this very large and flat metal bracelet with three large and flat links is still the most widespread among the watches in the Oyster collection.

THE 3131 MOVEMENT
The Milgauss is equipped with the caliber 3131, a mechanical self-winding movement entirely developed and produced by Rolex which also integrates the cutting-edge technologies patented by the Brand to guarantee extraordinary resistance to magnetic waves. Like all Rolex Perpetual movements, the 3131 is a certified Swiss chronometer, a title reserved for superior precision watches that have successfully passed COSC tests ( Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres ). The architecture, which unites it to all the movements in the Oyster collection, gives it an unparalleled reliability.

AN EFFECTIVE PROTECTION SYSTEM
The first innovation that guarantees resistance to magnetic interference is the bell placed inside the Oyster case. Made of special ferromagnetic alloys selected by Rolex, it has the task of wrapping and protecting movement. A letter "B" with an arrow (symbol of magnetic flux density) engraved on this particular device is accessible only to the eyes of the expert Rolex watchmakers.
